Team Members
Lakhvir Singh (Founder)
With over 18 years of experience in the automotive and agricultural machinery industry, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some truly innovative projects. My journey began right after completing my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering when I joined Standard Tractor Ltd. as a Design Engineer. One of the highlights was contributing to the development of their 12+12 transmission gearbox for tractors – a monumental feat in the industry at the time.
After resigning as Deputy Manager in 2008, I pursued a Master’s Diploma in CAD/CAM from the reputed Central Toolroom (Indo-German Tech Centre) in Ludhiana. This expertise in CAD/CAM proved invaluable when I rejoined Standard Tractor Ltd., taking on the design and manufacturing oversight of sheet metal parts for their entire tractor range. I also worked on major projects like developing oil-immersed brakes for agricultural tractors.
My next big move was joining ACE Tractor Ltd. as Senior Manager R&D. Here, I led the development of a side gear shifting arrangement for tractors, which is now used in 70% of the production in that segment. Additionally, I led the development of 60-90hp tractor transmissions.
In 2019, I took on the Design and Development Head role at IPL Tech Electric in Gurugram. This was an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge electric vehicle technology. A major achievement was leading the retrofitment of 55 TATA Signa trucks into pure electric commercial vehicles. We also designed a new pure electric tractor-trailer from scratch – projects that supported the deployment of India’s first pure electric heavy commercial vehicles.
Rakesh Goyal (Founder)
With over 26 years of experience in the electronics and automation industry, I’ve built a career centred around innovation and entrepreneurship. After completing my B. Tech in Electronics & Telecommunications from YMC Institute of Engineering, Faridabad, in 1998, I joined a small-scale company manufacturing electronic control and automation instruments.
This early exposure to the field sparked my entrepreneurial spirit, and after gaining valuable industry experience for 5-6 years, I took the plunge and initiated my own business, VRM Digital Systems, in the same domain. Over the next 19+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with more than 150 cement plants and 150 automobile plants, providing cutting-edge automation solutions tailored to their unique needs.
For the last 2.5 years, I’ve been part of I-BOARD Pvt. Ltd as the Project Head of Vehicle Operations, where I’m dedicated to advancing our mission of sustainable mobility for a greener, more eco-friendly future.
Ajay Kumawat (Founder and HOD Electrical controls)
Graduated from IIT Jodhpur (2013-2017), I embarked on my professional career at IPLTECH as a Project Manager. It was an exciting and challenging role that allowed me to dive into various aspects of the heavy commercial vehicle industry, including electrical controls, intellectual property management, vehicle homologation, after-sales service, and charging infrastructure development.
During my time at IPLTECH, I honed my skills in project management, vendor development, vehicle R&D, and vehicle efficiency improvement. I took pride in leading planning and strategy efforts, proposal processes, and pitch preparation. Additionally, I engaged in market research, product development, cold calling, and email marketing, all to enhance customer service experiences.
